Let's be honest, family photos can feel incredibly stressful. But what if they didn't have to be?
As a mum of two boys, I know exactly how fast kids take off the second they hit the great outdoors. Forcing smiles or expecting everyone to sit still is the last thing we want to do. Instead, over my 18 years as a Perth family photographer, I have perfected a completely relaxed approach to natural family photography in Perth.
I promise our session is actually so much more fun than you expect it to be, and even your husband will be naturally smiling by the end of our time together.
We will choose a beautiful outdoor location that is truly special to you, like your absolute favourite local beach or a place where your family loves to spend time together. If you are not sure on a location, please do not worry because I have got you completely covered with a list of incredible hidden gems.
My approach to your outdoor family photo shoot is calm, warm, and entirely focused on capturing the authentic connection between you and your loved ones. The result is a collection of joyful, honest photos that are a true reflection of your family's unique personality
The best time to reach out is roughly 4 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially since popular months in Spring and Summer book out completely. Once we lock in a date, you will receive my exclusive styling guide to help you choose relaxed, coordinated outfits. You are even more than welcome to send me photos of your outfit choices beforehand so we can double-check them together.
01. Style and Plan
We shoot in the gorgeous evening golden hour light, starting about an hour before sunset for that perfect, warm glow. Your partner, your kids, and even your beloved fur babies are all incredibly welcome. Standard sessions are beautifully relaxed, though extended family sessions with grandparents or cousins can take a little longer to ensure we capture everyone.

Get ready for an afternoon that actually feels like a fun family hang out. The absolute best way to dive into the experience is to leave your phone right in the car so you can be completely present. Whether we are exploring a beautiful spot you love or checking out one of my favourite hidden gems in Perth, there is zero pressure. We will let your kids run wild, play games, and chase the light, leaving your husband laughing naturally while you simply focus on enjoying your beautiful family.
